You will be our operational backbone on the ground — managing day-to-day machine operations at client sites across the UK, overseeing our operators and ensuring the Balista crushers perform at target throughput. This is the most critical gap in our current team structure.
Michiel Coumans, our CEO, cannot combine general management with daily operational presence on client sites. You are the bridge between the boardroom and the work floor.
- →Daily operational management of UK operators and machine sites
- →Machine installation, commissioning and relocation coordination
- →First point of contact for clients on all operational matters
- →Quality control of input material (sampling protocol) and output
- →Production monitoring — 200 days/yr, 8h/day, OEE 80% target
- →Coordination with field service technician for maintenance
- →Weekly reporting to CEO on volumes, issues and client feedback
- ✓5+ years operational experience in recycling, demolition, earthworks or heavy industry
- ✓Proven experience managing workers on the work floor — not a desk profile
- ✓Hands-on mentality — willing to get involved when needed
- ✓Strong problem-solving skills under time pressure
- ✓UK driving licence · willing to travel regularly across the UK
- ✓Good communicator with both workers and client management
- +Knowledge of concrete recycling, demolition waste or aggregates
- +Experience with equipment-as-a-service or leasing models
- +Network in the UK recycling or demolition sector
As Dureco scales to 15 machines in the UK, this role evolves into a senior operations leadership position — responsible for the full UK operational team.

Apply Now →Michiel is placing the first machines personally through his existing network. As the fleet grows, we need a dedicated commercial profile in the UK to take over the pipeline and scale it. You identify demolition companies, recycling yards and concrete producers who can benefit from our machine-as-a-service model.
This is a technical sales role — the proposition sells itself to the right audience, but you need to find them and make the case convincingly.
- →Identify and approach demolition companies and recycling yards
- →Build and manage a commercial pipeline of machine placements
- →Present the machine-as-a-service model to decision makers
- →Commercial negotiation and contract preparation with CEO
- →Represent Dureco at trade fairs and sector events
- →Market intelligence: prices, competition, regulation
- ✓5+ years B2B sales or business development in a technical sector
- ✓Proven network in UK construction, demolition or recycling
- ✓Technical affinity — able to explain the proposition convincingly
- ✓Self-starter — comfortable working independently in a start-up
- ✓Results-driven with a proven commercial track record
- +Experience with sustainable or circular construction solutions
- +Familiarity with UK aggregates or cement market
- +Affinity with CO₂ reduction and sustainability tenders
In addition to the base salary, you receive a performance-based commission per successfully placed machine. Details discussed during the interview process.
